This makes for a challenging time when building patches. In fact, the majority of the drives need to be cranked in order to achieve anything close to unity gain. The overall output of the unit is fine but the individual drives just aren't strong enough to give both the drive tone and the volume bump that is associated with using a standard pedal/amp setup. Now, this is where I've had problems (and maybe you guys have as well). I've owned the RP5 and it really does seem this is the same, just more functionality. Overall, the amp model comes through great through the system but building it in my studio seemed to translate as a bit dark sounding.
I've spent my time thus far working on an amp tone that uses the "Fraternal" model (Fender Twin). We hold about 1000 people and the room is fairly big. I grabbed an RP360XP and used it yesterday for two church services.
